Presentation Day

  • Presentation day will be on Monday, July 14, at the Southern Minnesota Educational Campus (SMEC) in Fairmont (115 South Park Street). Depending on the number of registrations, the time will be approximately 12:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Projects judged at Presentation Day are Clothing & Textiles, Fashion Revue, Food Revue, Performing Arts, Demonstrations, and Speeches & Presentations.
    • Deadline to register in FairEntry is June 30 for Presentation Day

Animal Science Night

  • Livestock Interviews and Barn Set Up will be held on Friday, August 8 at the Martin County Fairgrounds.
    • A sign up and more details will be sent out to registered exhibitors in late July.

Deadline to Register

  • Registration for ALL fair exhibits except Presentation Day must be completed in FairEntry online by 11:59 p.m. on July 15.
  • If you are submitting the paper entry form it must be turned in to the Martin County Extension Office by 5:00 p.m. on July 15.

Reminders…

  • Our goal is to make the Martin County Fair a positive learning experience for all youth. Sometimes there are considerations and requests that we need to be aware of in order to make this event as successful as possible for our members. If needed, please complete the form at z.umn.edu/MCFSCF by August 5 (July 15 for Presentation Day exhibitors).
  • Cloverbuds are youth who have completed grades K-2 in June 2025.
  • Each general project and/or animal exhibit needs to be registered either online using FairEntry or listed on a paper registration form (available upon request).
  • Livestock Interviews – Be sure to register for this with each species you are interviewing for.
  • Livestock Showmanship – Be sure to register for this with each species you are exhibiting in showmanship.
  • Helpful exhibit suggestions are listed under each project area in the premium book.
  • When registering for General Project areas, you will choose the number of exhibits that you wish to bring. You may show up to three (3) items per general project area. There are no restrictions on what you choose to exhibit in that general project area, as long as you follow any rules, guidelines, or size limitations.

REMEMBER, only exhibits registered online or marked on your registration form by the Fair Registration Deadline (July 15) are eligible for exhibition at the fair without penalty. 4-H Competitive Events: Deadlines, Consequences, and Exemptions states: County Fair entries will be accepted after the county’s pre-registration deadline. However, the following penalties will apply:

• No purple, overall champion, or reserve ribbons

• Not eligible for 4-H Auction

• Not eligible for State Fair
